Steps to Follow When Making Hanging Flower Paper Craft
- Create the Base of Your Flower
Grab a 10 x 10 piece of paper and fold it into a neat triangle. Once you are confident you have accurately lined up its edges, fold it again to create a smaller triangle that will act as a guideline. Using this line, take one corner of your larger triangle and drag it across, so your paper now takes the form of a ship with a mast. Then do the same with the other edge.
- Carve Out Each Petal
Next, take a pencil and draw a heart shape along your paper, which will help form each petal of your flower. Once you have marked this shape, grab a pair of scissors and cut along it. Once you unfold it, your paper should look like a beautiful flower. You may also want to create a pistil by marking out the middle of your flower with dark ink.
- Create a Bigger Flower
Repeat the first two steps but use a 12 x 12 piece of paper instead. This larger paper should result in a grander flower that can act as a base for the smaller flowers you created earlier.
- Create Ornaments for Your Flower Stem
Feel free to create whatever additional ornaments you feel will look beautiful with your flower. You can cut out a piece of paper and make a cone shape, or go with a simple heart that draws eyes to your paper wall art. Once you have finished, don’t hesitate to attach your stem and flowers to a dark piece of cardboard and hang it up on the wall.
Steps to Follow When Making Hanging Leaves Wall Craft
- Make Leaf Structure by Folding Paper
Grab your 15 x 15 paper and cut it in half, forming a triangle. Take the long edge of this paper and make a tiny fold before turning it on its back and repeating the process. Continue doing this until you are left with a single strip of paper.
Once you have this strip, push along its middle point until both sides meet, then apply a bit of glue to make sure that these sides do not come loose when you let go. Once the glue has set in, you should be able to spread out your paper to form a leaf. Be sure to repeat this process for as many leaves as you need.
- Attach Leaves to Cardboard
Take a bit of glue and attach your leaves to a long strip of paper that will act as the stem of your wall hanging. Once you are confident that the glue has set in, feel free to attach this structure to a bit of reinforced, circular-shaped cardboard.
- Wrap Cardboard in Leaves
Once your leaves are stuck firmly to your cardboard, cover it with some colorful paper, leaving it to dry. While you are waiting, craft some more leaves by repeating the process in Step 1. These new leaves will act as petals surrounding the cardboard, adding more beauty to your paper art.
Once you are confident that you have successfully glued all parts of your artwork together, encircle the cardboard with the new leaves you have crafted. This process should create a beautiful sunflower pattern that you can hang on your wall.
