Did you know that by using some colorful cardstock you can make your very own lucky shimmer St. Patricks Day Envelope Box? Check it out below!
Each year the Irish count their luck and their blessings. The shamrock has a long tradition and this one has 4 leaves to bring you luck. As a child I spent lots of time in the yard with friends looking for the clover with 4 leaves: yours is easy to make with hearts that have a corner punch in the apex.
Instructions for St. Patricks Day Project
These hearts were die cut, but you can cut them by hand. The stem is just the edge of the scraps: it is all held together with a little ScorTape, glue, and bling for shine. The “irish” is die cut with Memory Box; you can use a marker to write your message. A little chiffon ribbon across the bottom and you are good to go.
The paper is by Paper-Papers, all cover weight: Shine Shimmer cardstock Moss & Champagne, and Gold. The card is 5-inch x 7-inch and little envelope box is 1-inch deep. It is very easy to make. Add 2.5″ of Gold along one side of the Champagne, using 2 rows of 1/8-inch of ScorTape, then cut the paper to 10.5-inch square.
Where to score it?
It is easiest to get out a ruler and a pencil, turn the paper on the diagonal and put the card in the middle. The first set of lines are around the centered card, leaving 1/8″ around the card, and a second set of lines 1″ out farther, for the sides. Score the pencil lines, erase, and fold with a bone folder. From there you can see where to cut the tabs to fold the box, for a Eurofold envelope. Hold it together with ScorTape. The flap gets a corner punch and ScorTape. Enjoy!
