Happy Easter in 2023. To help bring happiness and joy to Easter, the Chocolate Easter Bunny adds some fun. This Chocolate Easter Bunny Card is like no other! Be sure to check out how to make yours below! Refer to the photos and add your own touches.
Instructions:
- Using Extract, Aqua, 140lb cover and the A7 envelope which has a euro-style flap. Cut the 8.5-inch x 11-inch to 7-inch x 10-inch. Score and fold it in the middle so that the 5-inch x 7-inch card fits into the A7 envelope which is 5 1/4-inch x7 1/4-inch.
- Using Tim Holtz, Easter Elements, cut the Bunny from Crush, Coffee, 92lb cover. Cut the bowtie using SP Basics Glitter Paper, Silver. The little coat is cut from Curious Metallic, Rose Gold, 111lb cover. Die cut all of the Easter elements with the Rose Gold. Using the Rose Gold bunny, I cut out the coat. I cut above where the bunny legs start. I pushed the tail of the coat out a bit and glued & taped the coat to the bunny. Once you fix the Silver bow to the bunny it covers the top of the coat. The eye is a 1/8-inch pearl flat round. Save the bunny for later.
- “Happy Easter” is spelled out with Sticko Alphabet Stickers: “Alpha LG Black Foam”. Put the Happy to the left on the bottom, spacing them comfortably. Capital letters are 1-inch high and the lower cat is 3/4-inch. From the left edge to the end of the “y” is 3 inches.
“Easter” starts 1 3/8-inch from the bottom right edge. It is also 3 inches long, up the side of the card. Put the letters on, straighten, and press firmly.
- Tape and glue the Easter Bunny onto the card front, with several guidelines for placement. The left side of the bottom of the bunny is ~2 inches from the bottom. The bunny’s tail aligns where the “a” in Happy starts. The right side of the bottom of the bunny also starts where the “a” is in Easter. Tape and glue the bunny down.
- Cut the green foliage from the die Memory Box Fauntleroy Crest. The paper used is Stardream Metallic, Lagoon, 105lb cover. Refer to the photos and cut where I did, or do something else. I turned the foliage upside and glued it onto the lower right, Use Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue and a toothpick.
- The little pink butterfly. Well, I have had my bulk butterflies forever. I used what I had. That butterfly is glued on top of the foliage in the lower right-hand corner, over the foliage. I looked online here, there, and everywhere. That butterfly is 3/4-inch wing to wing. My suggestion, since you only need 1, is to use Martha Stewart’s punches. Martha Stewart has a lot of butterfly punches or you can just cut one freehand. You could also put a pink flower there. If you have a punch that is not over 1 inch punch it using the Rose Gold.
- On the inside of the card, cut a piece of Crush, White Corn, 92lb cover to 4 3/16′-inch x 5-inch. Cover the outside of the back of the paper with 1/2-inch ScorTape and apply. Center it at the top of the card. Add the Rose Gold butterfly from the Easter Elements then glue and tape it down. Refer to the photos.
Enjoy!
