03 Jul Fourth Of July Celebration Card
July 4th is when we celebrate as a nation. This simple card will let you add lots of people to that holiday list and still have time for the barbecue.
Score and fold an 8.5” x 11” sheet of Pearl White in half. This will just fit into an A9 Crush, Cherry, envelope. Using a sheet of Crush Cherry paper cut strips of paper that are ¼” or a little wider, no need to be exact, and ScorTape them onto the Pearl White car. The larger stripes had less space between the stripes and the smaller stripes had a little more space. Referring to the photo, the stripes are alternated as to whether they are further left or right, starting with more to the right.
Cut your star from Sapphire and then cut an outline around it leaving a 4.5″ tail at the top of the star. The tail here is 9/16″ wide; cut it to suit. Outline and cut or die cut the Super Gold using Tim Holtz Alterations, Old Glory, die cut and cut off the stripes.
Again referring to the photo, and using ScorTape, place the Sapphire with the cutout star diagonally across the Cherry stripes, trimming the excess at the top of the card. Add the Super Gold flag on top of the Sapphire stripe and add the Sapphire star to the flag. Cut out some extra Super Gold stars and place two rows to the left of the flag. The alphabet stickers are by Sticko and the red glass squares are from Office Home.
Add some clear glass bling to the stars and have a great 4th of July. Enjoy!
