This Easter check out how to make this wonderful Happy Easter Bunny Card! It is perfect card to make this season and wonderful for friends and family! It is a darling Easter Bunny and pretty simple, using a variety of colors. Keep referring to the photos.
Instructions:
- Print the POPTONE, Sno Cone, 65lb cover with the “Happy Easter” greeting. Cut the paper to 10″ x 7″ so that the greeting is on the card front. Carefully score and fold the paper in half for a final card size of 5″ wide by 7″ tall.
- Using piece of POPTONE, Whip Cream, 65lb cover, tape it to a firm surface with blue masking painter’s tape. Using more blue tape, securely tape the Dreamweaver Stencil, L J 892 (Ebay) metal stencil over the Whip Cream.
- Either use what you have or use the markers in the materials list and fill in the stencil. The main idea is to vary the red colors in the flowers so it looks like the light is shining here and there. The Bronze is on the lower leaves to the center of the flowers. After filling in the stencil, use the clear marker to outline the whole design. All the markers are metallic and the clear maker makes the design really sparkle.
- Cut around the design so the final paper is 3 15/16″ wide by 5 1/4″ tall: 4″ x 5 1/4″ will also work. Put it on a piece of Silhouette Double Sided Adhesive Sheet and trim any excess.
- Stamp the POPTONE, Razzle Berry, 65lb cover with the Stamp, NCPC 3323 Large Elegant Word Background Precut Set and Tim Holtz, Pitch Black, stamp pad, being sure to refill the pad before using.
- Cut the stamped Razzle Berry with the Bunny’s bow tie from Tim Holtz Alterations Die, Easter Elements, and also cut a large 4 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ section. If you cut the Whip Cream to 4″ x 5 1/4″ tall then you need to cut the Razzle Berry to 1/4″ wider than the Whip Cream. If you want to slim trim the sides like mine, you can but it is not a noticeable difference.
- Pull the backing from the stenciled design and place it on the stamped Razzle Berry. I put the ScorTape on the back of the Whip Cream horizontally so I could pull the top backing piece and line up the Whip Cream. When I was sure of the placement I pulled the rest of the tape and pushed the design down securely. Trim the Razzle Berry if necessary, by hand. Attach it to the card with 1/4″ ScorTape.
- Do the inside. Cut the Whip Cream to 3 1/2″ x 7″ and attach with ScorTape.
- Die cut the Easter Bunny from Curious Skin, Mocha, 100lb cover. Attach it to the stenciled design using both 1/8″ & 1/2″ ScorTape and the Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic Glue. The tape holds the die cut in place while the glue dries. Place it on the design where it suits you or follow the photos.
- Glue the Razzle Berry bow tie onto the bunny and add an eye using red Offray 3/8″ half round. Add the 3/8″ white half round pearl to the bow tie. I used glue on all of it.
- Cut a 3/4″ circle from the Silhouette Double Sided Adhesive Sheet. I hand cut it and it does not have to be a perfect circle. Use glue to attach it and use a toothpick to a put a very thick layer of glue on top of the circle. Put as much Buffalo Snowflakes as the glue will hold and press down, shaping it into a circle. The flakes are holographic and transparent. You have to wait for it to dry. If you want it less transparent go back the next day and add another layer.
- You are done. Enjoy.
