The dinner, the roses and a valentine card for your very favorite person; your husband, your kids, your parents, just your best friend, or a new true love. Check out how to turn your favorite cardstock with Cheery Lynn dies offer the fast approach, or use any fancy die cut for a large square card and add some bling. There is a heart shape cut in the middle so glitter paper could add more sparkle. I used Paper-Papers, Shine: Lilac and Curious Skin: Pink, both card stock paper; I love the contrast between really shiny and matte. The die is from Cheery Lynn: Sophia’s Heart.
Since the card is 5.5″ square, the envelope is made to fit using a second page of Lilac card stock. I used the whole page. I added an extra 1/8″ on each side for wiggle room on and scored in the square, leaving enough for the flap to fold down over the top; it is actually a really thin box, 1/8-inch deep. After trimming the corners and adding some curves with my envelope board, I used some scrap Pink to make up the difference, where the bottom wasn’t long enough. Scortape held everything together with an extra strip at the top to hold the flap down. A Lilac heart and some Pink trim added a little extra love to the back of the envelope. I added a little Pink lace trim to the front corner, too.
Now you are ready to send some love in the mail or give it at dinner. Enjoy.
