New York City Popup Card

Now some things are just so cool and I think this is one of them. The New York City Popup Card is like nothing I have ever seen before.

While I was visiting New York this past week, I came across an enthusiastic street vendor who was excited to sell his cards created using a cricut machine.

I was thrilled when it popped open with the beautiful NY skyline. As you can see by the photo attached, I indeed made the purchase! I couldn’t wait to take a picture and share it with all you amazing paper enthusiasts.

I am now more inspired than ever to see other projects made with a cricut machine, so we would love for you to share your projects either on here or on Instagram!

If I was going to make a project like this of my own these are the colors that I would choose:

That is cool. I see what they did: a series of flat card – outlines – some cut halfway up and some halfway down. They they were slid together in the middle. They all probably fit though one slit at some point. So they flex and fold when you fold the card. I don’t how they attached them to the cover so they hold well enough to open up. Some part of at least one design on each side has to be attached to each side of the cover. Maybe close into the base there are tabs folded under and taped to the cover. Or that would be one way. You could do this easily yourself.
