DIY Shadow Box Project – Love Gives Us Wings
Nothing says I Love You like a homemade shadow box filled with Hearts & Flowers. Learn how to make your own below.
You can show that Special Person just how much they mean to you, add some flowers to your heart, and fly away as a butterfly on delicate wings. Love gives us freedom to fly high and grow into ourselves. This is a special Thank You to those who helped.
Instructions for Shadow Box
I used a limited background palette of cool colors: Pure Silver text and silver cover, Blue Sodalite and silver gilding flakes. The love was added with warmed Hinted Gold topped with Garnet Plum. Lots of flower cuts and a few little pearls add a bouquet of affection.
Save the packaging. You will need the cardboard for a working paper base, and the cellophane for wings to lift the flower covered butterfly. Using a 12″ shadow box with a 3/4″ clearance inside will give you the room you need. This was a fast and fun little project and I hope you enjoy it also. Happy gifting.
