Metallic Paper Hydrangea Wreath

What a beautiful way to decorate for fall! Make this DIY paper hydrangea wreath for your front door or to style your living space. For the petals of this hydrangea project I chose my favorite metallic text weight sheets in Stardream Metallic Ruby, Punch, Kunzite, and Opal and Curious Metallic Violette and to add an extra layer of color, printed them with a watercolor wash on a laser printer.

You can dowload the purple, blue and green washes here. I then chose three leaf colors, Curious Botanic and Emerald & Stardream Metallic Fairway.  I picked the Emerald to pull out the color of my front door so you may choose a more traditional green if you prefer.

For this project I cut all of my paper petals with my Cricut Explore. You can download the SVG cut files below for your cutting machine or the PDF template to hand cut. For the full step-by-step photo tutorial just pop on over to my site! ~ Lia

This is an absolutely beautiful wreath….but I have a question. I have an original Cricut machine, Will I be able to get this pattern to work on my Cricut? It looks simple enough, so I’m thinking I should be able to do it. ???
    Thanks so much!!

    1. This is one of our favorite flowers, you will need the Cricut Explore to use this svg file. The older Cricut machines only works with a cartridge. Enjoy!

The older cricut machines also work with svg files. (I have one) You have to use Cricut Design studio and Sure Cuts a Lot (older version).

Yes, there is a pdf pattern included so that you can cut by hand. Just make sure you have a really good pair of scissors or a detailed knife.
