How Old Green became new – Paper and art

Yvonne Handmade Card

Enjoying the lovely talents of customers who share.

Bragging on Yvonne from North Carolina whose artistic skills are presented on these lovely cards. Her art laid against the paper, this Old Green shade, gives a feel and look uniquely their own.  The paper used for her lovely cards comes from the Speckletone paper group.

Stark black drawings on this speckled faded green gives this card such a personal feel as if Yvonne drew on it just for us.  I like when something can generate a personal touch this nicely. She sent this batch to us as a thank you to Juanna who is the Manager of our customer service.

It arrived to us wrapped in brown bag wrapping with traditional stamps and hand written address. We get so busy in our current world of fast reproductions and technology that it is easy to forget how lovely and personal a simple hand written thought can express kindness.

I’m sure we can all use a bit of kindness today. We want to thank Yvonne for pausing and sending these to us and of course, once we saw them, we absolutely wanted to brag about her talents!

There is more to it than just the paper.

While I was checking out our stack of mail, I was also excited to find that Ari, one of our team members, also received a thoughtful thank you from Elisa of Rebecca Lee Cards. Another card but with a completely different design model. Her hand-made cards are made by upcycling  fabrics and layering onto the pure white paper which includes a lovely playful thought. Her cards have an insert sharing her motivation – be sure to read her story. You can find more about Rebecca at LinkedIn

Thank you for sharing your talents, we are genuinely thrilled and amazed!
