DIY Spring Card

It’s time to get out all the bright paper colors as spring tries to come. To get in the mood for the flowers and sunshine, use Paper-Papers Stardream Metallic Kunzite, and creating contrast with Shine Gold and Curious SKIN Pink, all cover stock paper.

The carousel is an older die; use whatever you have and if you don’t have one yet, try Cottage Cutz or look around for something you love. I simply die cut two, cut parts out of the Pink with an Exacto, and layered it over the Gold. Jolee’s Boutique makes the little blue flowers at the bottom.

The rest of the bling was just odd and ends. For a little dimension, some silver twine, with little bows, was glued down the carousel poles.

The Aged Parchtone envelope adds more color: the A9 size is a perfect fit for the full size Kunzite cardstock paper which is a full sheet, folded in the middle. Enjoy.

Selecting Kunzite metallic which is a very pale shade of purple with mica coating causing it to have this elegant metallic look and feel. Since this card stock paper is a thick 105 cover, it is a great idea to create a score line for the best folding result.

By using a full sheet of 8-1/2-x-11 and folding it in half, this creates the perfect insert for our A9 Envelope, no trimming needed, just fold and insert. Mixing paper finished creates a lovely dimension to any hand crafted project.

Notice the Bright Pink Skin Paper is a very uniquely smooth card stock along with the light gold from the Shine Shimmer collection. Mix shades, finishes and more to create festive projects that ask to be held, touched and wowed!
