Collecting Precious Family Memories – Page 3 – Scrapbook Collection

Share it

This is Page 3 for my continuing series of the Scrapbook Collection as a gift to my Mother. Just some ideas to share with you! Check them out!

I created this album for my Mom and can’t express enough how I feel that family is everything. This is a project of Love. After years of collecting and months of organizing, sorting, and reminiscing, the family history came to life with die cuts, shiny paper, and glittery photo corners. Read my intro here.

As a continuing project of the Album of Precious Family Memories, we are now working on PAGE 3. Find a printable list of Materials and Instructions here.

Instructions for Page 3:

Using Red Liner tape, cover the scrapbook page with the matt white background paper. Using your Grand Caliber Die, cut two nesting circles. I cut them into 1/2 circles. The larger is the Hinted Gold Cardstock and the second, smaller one, is the photo. Refer to page 3 for design. Using the corner punch of your choice, do a design around the Hinted Gold, larger, 1/2 circle. Mount the photo on the Hinted Gold with tape and also using tape, mount the white background on the white scrapbook page.

From Paper-Papers, Indigo cut a cross design. I used the Spellbinders Shapeabilities: Crosses.

Cut the Sheet Music paper 3.75″ wide, 8.5″ long. Center a 6.5″ piece at the top and a 1.5″ piece at the bottom.

Now, mount the photo, mounted on the Hinted Gold, on the sheet music, approx 1/2″ up from the bottom, using red liner tape to attach it.

Use Cosmic Shimmer Glue, or any other, to attach the cross to the sheet music.

Print name tags with the Pure Gold and mount at the bottom with red liner tape. Round edges if you want.

And you are done with page 3.

Here is another page with the elegant name tag… and I must say the photos are priceless. Those are the old brownie camera’s they sold for $1.00. The baby pictures are from about 1918 or so. Mom was born in 1916. Weren’t they just great back then. There is nothing like a great black and white photo!
