Paper Butterfly Notecards

And with Paper Butterfly Notecards like this you are going to have a friend forever. They are just so fun and easy to make.

The cards are put into Gunmetal A2 envelopes. Take a 8.5-inch x 11-inch sheet of Gunmetal cut it in half will provide 2 notecards that fit into the envelope. Whether you chose to print on the inside of the card or have a handwritten message that is going to be decided by you.To make the butterfly decoration I used a Chloe Butterfly die cut from Cotton Candy text for the wings. For the body, I used Emerald cover. Glue or use spray ahesive to attach the butterfly materials to the card. Add a clear gemstone and you are set!

The gift box is made from a sheet of 8.5-inch x 11-inch of Soft Grey cover.  Start here and use the full sheet. Using a good scoring board, score down both the long side and one short side, 1.25-inch from the sides; these are the sides of the box and the lid.  From the 8.5-inch side that is already scored, score up (1.25-inch + 4.75-inch), which is 6-inch.  Do another one 1.25-inch up from the 6-inch. This will leave a lid of 3.75-inch. Do all scores on both sides of the paper. Patiently go over all the scores to make it easier to bend. Cut your tabs as shown on the photo and ScorTape the tabs inside of the box. A little Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic glue was added. When you bend, do so carefully and slowly. The paper will want to break a little so go slow and after putting the box together go over all the bends with a fine surfaced acrylic nail file, if needed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5762″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” onclick=”img_link_large” img_link_target=”_blank” qode_css_animation=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]To hold the box lid shut, cut some .5-inch green satin, double sided ribbon, 4 feet long. If you have to you can piece the ribbon under the decoration on the top of the box. The top of the green ribbon is about 1-inch from the top so there is room to wrap the ribbon around and make a pretty bow. Your elegant gift is done.
