Card making ideas – Just a little note and Invites
Take time to show off bright, beautiful colors celebrating Seasons changing.
Orange Fusion, from FAV Shimmer Collection & Champagne, Gold, Red and Amethyst, from the Shine Collection, make these cards extra special and extra easy.
I use cover weight cardstock for the cards; the Red Shine is text weight and great for punching and layering. All weights stamp and print well, both laser and ink jet.
I used Stazon black for the stamps. The big leaf is from Inkandoo. First I stamped on clear plastic from packaging and then cut the shape out with cuticle scissors. Clean the plastic leaf shape with alcohol and lay it over the Orange Fusion.
Using any large word stamp, stamp over the leaf shape and fill the Orange Fusion shape with words, using any large word stamp. Remove the plastic and stamp the leaf, in the empty leaf shape.
Cut rectangles from the Orange Fusion to fit all 3 cards. Use a fine tip acrylic pen and a gold leaf pen to outline the leaves. Using gelato pens on any white or ivory cardstock, blend the colors into each other. Cut out small leaves, using any leaf punch or die cut you have.
Tape the stamped Orange Fusion onto the Champagne and Gold card, add the leaves , tags and ribbons. My tags are punches. I punched confetti from card scraps and added it for color. Use your sentiment for that special person and enjoy the compliments.
Don’t forget the envelopes. Making them fun is the best part. I used Aged Parchment Envelopes to match the paper .
very nice
Thank you, Jamie Lynne. If you have any questions about the materials, processes, stamps or die cuts, feel free to ask. Happy crafting and thanks for taking the time to let me know you liked them. I replied in the wrong place, so I am trying to make sure you are thanked. I did appreciate you.
