Love Giving Thanks with Beautiful Cardstock
There is nothing more important than family and Thanksgiving is the time to share the love and give thanks. Whether for invitations or more personal greetings, this card is fast, using paper from your other projects.
The card itself is A2 size from the Crush papers, Coffee. This is dark, warm shade of Brown that is made from coffee by-products and harmonizes with another matte paper, Curious Skin, Emerald. They provide a background frame for a contrasting shiny paper, FAV Shimmer, Pure Silver, which was stamped with a Holiday Greeting.
If you don’t want to stamp, it is laser and inkjet compatible. Across the bottom is an array of more shiny papers. All those wonderful leaves were punched from Martha Stewart little leaf punches, use your favorite. Punch extras and save them for other cards.
They are comprised of Pure Silver, lots of Shine, Red Satin, a deep luxurious red; great to have on stock with the holiday seasons coming up. The bright leaves are FAV Shimmer, Orange Gold Fusion, using all those little scraps for accent color. The lone blue leaf is Stardream Metallics, Lagoon (Blue), also a scrap and a favorite color.
It is worth noting that all the different brands of papers were used to sprinkle across this card; the colors harmonizing for a fall season array. The leaves are tucked behind another scrap of Shine Copper, this one from the Shine Sampler pack.
The sampler packs offer a great array of recyclable, biodegradable, papers that shine without metals or foils and is FSC certified. The leaf shape is the leftover paper from die cutting for another card. Simply cut around the shape in a cute outline and tucked the leaves in.
The A2 card size offers two cards per page, scored and folded and tucked into an A2 FAV Shimmer Pure Silver, envelope with a little red leaf punched out and a circle of Red Satin glued to the backside. Enjoy.
