Ruby and Lace Criss-Cross Card – Easy DIY project

Cirss-Cross-ruby and lace cardRibbon is a fun decoration, shiny, pretty and quickly adds an interesting background. Start with Paper-Papers, Stardream Metallics Ruby. Stardream Metallics are made in Italy, colored all the way through, and is both metallic and pearlescent with a shimmer that catches the light. True to its name it is a dark reddish purple, deep and rich. Using a full sheet, score and fold it in the middle. Referring to the photo, using 1/2″ pink ribbon, cut a total of 10 pieces, referring to the photo. Start with 2 cuts that go the full length diagonally, then cut 4 that are a third of the way from the diagonal ribbon and the ends. The final 4 are cut to fit in the middle of those.  Put ScorTape on the back and do layers, all one direction and the other way. Tap the tape lightly so you can lift the tape and readjust as needed.

Paper-Papers Ribbon Card Criss Cross papers 2 TextUsing Shine Copper, cut a 4.25″ circle and using Crush, Almond, cut a 3.25″ circle. Shine is a combination of natural minerals and organic pigments offering a rich, luminous effect. Crush Almond is made from by- products of Almonds, and looks as delicious as it sounds. It is designed to be energy friendly without any concession to beauty. Run both circles through an embosser that put little dots on the images. That is Spellbinders M-Bossabilites and fits the Big Shot Pro. Those folders have a 2 in 1 design; the other side is regular dots. Use what you have and like. They both look great with any design. Put 1/4″ white ribbon crisscrossing between the dots on the Crush Almond. Tape and glue the designs, centering the images. Get out the really big pearls and glue them down where the big pink ribbon crisscrosses and add some 3D flowers to the center of the design: those are Recollections.

Shine also makes the A9 envelope in Pearl, which is perfect for a half sheet of paper. Lots of texture in a card so simple to make. Enjoy.
