Easter is a great time for everyone! And making this fun candy filled treat is sure to spark joy in people everywhere! Make sure to check out the instructions below on how to make your own candy box!

DIY Easter Cardstock Candy Box

This craft is made from FAV Shimmer Orange Fusion which is a gold infused orange. When it gets turned to the light it glows and shimmers. Shine Moss is a rich green shimmery cardstock paper that brings the box to life.

Candy Box Instructions:

This candy box is super fast and easy. Using the full 8.5″ X 11″ paper, divide the space into 4 equal parts along the length and score, using a bone folder. Refer to the photos. Score the paper 2.5″ down from the top and 2.5″ up from the bottom.

A small plastic cup will give you fast circle shapes on the top part. Fold the paper accordion style and cut all the circles at once, coming down 2.5″, to the score line. Cut the bottom flaps, one at a time, up 2.5″, to the score line. Put ScorTape along the bottom flaps so they cover each other when folded.

Cut triangles from the Moss and use your favorite punch for a design, saving the cut out to add to the design. The triangles were added last, with one being used to hold the side shut. Glue leaves on the top of the candy box and add two holes for some matching green ribbon to hold the top closed.

Fold along all the score lines, then tape the cardstock candy box together. Make some more and add some candy, for a great table decoration and a keepsake for the guests . Enjoy.

  1. Wow, Susie I love the card. An older die. Is it retired? Gone? I’d love to have that design. Even a template if it’s gone. It would be great on one of my altered shabby chic boxes. I just love carousels. Love your colors. New to this Company. Excited to see more. XX’S, LYNDA from Utah

I think you are referring to the carousel die and not the box above. I tried to find the manufacturer. I could not. I had it a long time. That was the first time I used it. I ripped off the plastic and tossed it and don’t know if there was info on it. It is not on the die itself. To be honest the first time I used it, it broke. It is a steel die in layers of wood and the side just broke open. I took a hammer and fixed it enough to use it, so that may be why it is “retired”. I have the Big Shot Pro. It was a deep dish die. I used it without the dish. It is a cute carousel. I looked on ebay and online in general to see if I could find it sold currently and couldn’t. Cottage Cutz on Amazon had a cute one also:

You would have to put your own contrasting paper behind it. Easy enough. I would read the reviews for the one on Amazon. That was the cutest of the ones out there.

Here is a single pony carousel on Amazon:

You would have to cut it out a few times to get all the colors. Or cut parts of it out. I hope you find something you like. I was trying to use lots of really bright colors together. Paper-Papers has great sampler packs that have coordinating colors in a wide range. I hope your enjoy. If I can answer any more questions, please ask.

Thank you for like it and taking the time to write.

    Susie
