First, you will need to cut your paper into strips about 1cm (0.4-inch) wide. You can use any color you like or a mix of colors if you want. You’ll need 6 strips of paper in total. Take your first strip and glue the end of the paper. Now connect the other end of the paper to the glued end and create a circle.

Next, you will need to arrange the 5 other strips of paper and arrange them together to make a star. Fold each piece of paper underneath another piece of paper. Take your small pegs and peg them onto each piece of paper where it crosses over the other. Now slowly push each piece of paper to curve into a ball shape.

Now take your circle you made earlier and pass it over every other strip of paper. So there will be one inside the circle then one outside the circle. Now cross the strips of paper over each other.

Glue one end of each different strip of paper and then connect them with the other end. You can remove the pegs and you’ll have a finished paper ball!

2. Paper Flower

15cmx15cm (5.9-inch square) piece of paper

Fold the paper in half to get a crease down the middle. Open it up and do it again to get two creases through the middle. Open the paper back up and then fold the paper into a triangle. Then do it again to get the fourth crease through the middle.

Now fold along the crease lines until you get a diamond shape. Fold each of the open sides halfway then open the side up and fold them underneath.

Turn the paper around and do it again. Now you should have a kite shape. Take the top of the kite and fold it halfway on each side of the paper. Then fold the bottom of each side into the middle. Now open each side to reveal a flower shape Turn it around and start twisting the bottom. Now you’ll have a completed paper flower!

Cut a circle out of another piece of paper. Use a different color to make your windmill extra special. Glue the back and add it to the middle. Use a needle to poke a hole through the middle of the windmill and through a plastic straw.
